onNYTurf Subway Map Firefox Search Plugin
You can now install a onNYTurf Subway Map Search Plug-in into Firefox!
With the plugin installed, from the Google Search Bar you can target the Subway Map, type in your address, and instantly be taken to the map with your search result plotted.
Right now the installation is a little low-tech, that is, you need to download 2 tiny files and drop them in Firefox's searchplugin directory. Soon I will have a script that you click and will install it for you automatically. For now, download these:
the plugin
a cute icon for the search bar
(to easily identify that you are searching the map)
Once you have them on your computer, drop them into this directory:
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins
Restart Firefox and Search!
And Always Remember: when searching add "NYC, NY" or a borough name after the street address.
