[UPDATE June 7, 2:37PM]: Gifford Miller calls for Contract with Jets to be rescinded and Rail Yards put up for bid again (Miller's comments at the bottom of the article).
"Right now the Jets control a $1 billion property they got for $250 million. The (city) needs to cancel that contract and put it back out for bid so we can get this money for straphangers and build something positive there, like affordable housing for people who need it."

[UPDATE 10:00PM]: Too bad this wont work out...

[UPDATE 3:11PM]: Call or Email and Thank Sheldon Silver:

Also Bloomberg's reaction is in the comments

Sheldon Silver has just finished a press conference announcing that he will vote AGAINST the stadium development plan. Silver was critical of management of development at Lower Manhattan, support for education in the City, and the use of the Olympics as a herring to push development on the West Side.

Bloomberg is about to give a statement to the press.
