When forced to choose between hunting cyclists or hunting black people, the NYPD likely picks black people every time. Not guilty verdicts in the Sean Bell shooting related trial of three police officers earlier in the day presumably had the NYPD fighting for our safety in other parts of the city, and so took they night off from harassing the Hezbollah of exercise: Critical Mass bike riders. Officials said that 1,785 of 3,858 of the apartments planned for Harlem would be "income-targeted". But for most Harlem residents the so called affordable housing is out of reach. Only 200 units are for incomes of $30,750 dollars or less.

When she took office Speaker Quinn’s first action was to retain Chuck Meara as Chief Of Staff. Meara was Gifford Miller's Chief of Staff. It was under Gifford Miller's tenure that fake allocations in the budget exploded.

NYPD Can Not Submit Secret Testimony in RNC Case

A federal judge rejected an attempt by the NYPD to introduce secret testimony from the head of the NYPD Intelligence Division. The NYPD sought to keep the testimony secret from the plaintiffs and their lawyers, which would have made it impossible for the other side to respond.

Decades before YouTube and Macaca there was Clayton Patterson. Since 1979 his religious documentation of the happenings on the lower east side, including repeated police invasions, most notably the Tompkins Square riot of 1988, ushered in the era of civilian video journalism. A movie about his work will be screened this month.
